Analysis & Insights for Pharma Domain

At Innoplexus the projects typically were to develop a comprehensive apps for data analysis and visualization, enabling users in the pharma domain to make data-driven decisions effectively. These apps were key offerings at Innoplexus, catering to customers like Sanofi and Pfizer.

Role and Responsibilites

As the Design Head, my responsibilities included:

      • Leading a Team of 12 Designers: Work management with timely mentoring, guidance and ensuring quality.
      • Data Analysis: Understanding data requirements and patterns.
      • Workflow Design: Designing workflows for data analysis and visualization.
      • UI/UX Design: Creating intuitive user interfaces for the dashboard.
      • Team Development: Building team skills, managing tasks, and cross-skilling in different design methods.

Challenges

  • Data Complexity: Handling and visualizing complex data sets for drug discovery, clinical trials, and pathways analysis.
  • User Experience: Ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for users.
  • Finding Users for Research: Due to niche segment of our offering we had very limited access to end users, hence our research cycles needed to be very carefully planned and executed.

Approach to Design

Data Analysis:

  • Conducted detailed analysis to understand data patterns and requirements, leveraging the in-house datalake.

Workflow Prototyping:

  • Developed initial prototypes and validated them with users, ensuring alignment with user needs.

Iterative Design:

  • Iterated on the designs based on user feedback to ensure usability and effectiveness.

Innovation Using Design:

  • Developed a no-code platform to make app development more efficient.
  • Created a Git-like platform to manage knowledge of pathways, compounds, and genes for in-house scientists.

Solution

The solutions implemented as Design Head were

  • Comprehensive Dashboards: Designed dashboards that provided detailed data analysis and visualization for drug discovery, clinical trials, and pathways analysis.
  • User-Friendly UI: Created interfaces that were easy to navigate and use, making complex data accessible.
  • Innovative Tools: Developed platforms to enhance efficiency and knowledge management.

Result and Impact

  • Enhanced Decision-Making: Enabled users to make data-driven decisions quickly and effectively.
  • User Satisfaction: Received positive feedback from users, indicating increased satisfaction and productivity.
  • Wide Adoption: The tools and dashboards developed were widely adopted by big pharma companies.
